Press Release: Tax Guard Executive Shares Expertise on IRS Negotiations Published July 14, 2011

Denver, Colo (July 14, 2011) – Jason Peckham, Esq., director of business development at Broomfield-based Tax Guard, Inc., is scheduled to be a featured speaker at the International Factoring Association’s (IFA) annual transportation conference held August 24-26 in San Antonio. A federally authorized tax practitioner and expert on tax law, Peckham will focus his presentation on effective negotiating strategies with the IRS…

With approximately 350 corporate members, the IFA provides information, training and purchasing power to its membership, which is made up of factoring companies throughout the world and their suppliers. Factoring is a financial transaction whereby a business sells its accounts receivables (i.e., invoices) to a third party (called a factor) at a discount in exchange for immediate money with which to finance continued business.

Peckham’s company, Tax Guard, provides due diligence and tax monitoring services for factors and negotiates with the IRS on behalf of the factor’s clients. The factoring industry has grown significantly in the past two years since commercial bank lending requirements have forced many businesses to look elsewhere for critical funding.
